Pollen
Pollen is a natural product collected by bees, from flower to flower. Mixed with bee’s saliva, the tiny particles are transported to the hive. This product is the protein base of bees’ food and includes all amino acids essential to the human organism.
Amaranth
This tiny pseudocereal has been cultivated for over 8 000 years and has played a key role in the diet of several ancient civilizations, among them the Inca, Maya and Aztec. Apart from being extremely versatile, amaranth is gluten-free and is rich in protein, fibre, micronutrients and antioxidants.
Reishi mushrooms
Reishi mushrooms have been used for hundreds of years in oriental medicine. The word reishi literally means ‘herb of spiritual power’ and has been described as well as ‘mushroom of immortality’. It has a high fibre content, as well as anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a great choice to strengthen your immune system!
Turmeric
Turmeric is a plant that has a long, orange root which can be grounded into powder and has been used for centuries as a spice and medicinal plant in several countries, especially in India. It has plenty of benefits, including its extraordinary anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Camu camu
It is a small fruit originating from a typical Amazonian bush, appreciated as a superfood for its enormous amount of vitamin C. It is considered the biggest source of this micronutrient in the world.
Black pepper
Black pepper is the fruit of the homonymous plant, originating in India, used both as a spice for its intense aroma and for its medicinal properties. These come mainly from piperine, an active ingredient of black pepper, a great anti-inflammatory and antibacterial element with an interesting feature: it amplifies the benefits of the seasoned foods.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon is a spice with centuries-old traditions and multiple uses, known for thousands of years all over the world. Cinnamon comes from the inner bark of the cinnamon tree. Its essential oils create its characteristic and appreciated flavour, colour and aroma. These oils offer most of this spice’s benefits, namely antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antidiabetic properties (and many more).
